Horse Show News:

     Sebastian did an outstanding job throughout the 2007 horse show year.  He was nominated as the highest scoring gelding in North Country, New Hampshire.  He was also nominated for Reserve Champion in the Halter Showmanship Class of Mt. Washington Valley Horse Show Circuit (MWVHSC).  An awards ceremony was held in Gorham on February 9th, 2008.  Pictures follow.


 

GREAT NEWS!

     The Arabian Horse Associciation (AHA) has recently recognized The Great Rock Horse Farm as an Arabian Discovery Farm.  Special recognition has been granted for our commitment to the introduction and education of new Arabian horse owners.  This contribution is significant to the Arabian breed and the Arabian horse community.

Practical Horse Care Program:

The Great Rock Horse Farm offered a special horse care program on October 4th, 2008 called 'For the Love of My Horse'.  The program was designed for new and existing horse owners.

American Warmblood Society (AWS) sports horse Seminar & Inspection (September 2006): 

American Warmblood Society (AWS)

A private inspection and branding of horses was held at The Great Rock Horse Farm in Lancaster, NH.  This event, offered by the American Warmblood Society (AWS), was held in a sports horse educational format.  During the inspection, our horses were shown in-hand and graded in four different categories.

Spring Fling 2008:

Karin Matey with six-time Olympian and Dressage Legend Robert Dover

On the weekend of May 17th and 18th, Karin Matey of Lancaster traveled to Millis, Massachusetts to attend the New England Dressage Association's (NEDA) Spring Fling 2008.  Karin was very exited and honored to have had the opportunity to learn directly from Mr. Robert Dover.  Karin called the experience "just unbelievable" as Mr. Dover has been her role model for many years.  Throughout his seminar, Mr. Dover encouraged all riders to continue to reach for their goals.
